From the classroom to the page

M. North holds a Bachelor of Education (Secondary), a Bachelor of Science, and a Master of Information Technology. He has taught Digital Technologies, Mathematics and Science across Queensland before turning to educational publishing full time.

His teaching practice has centred on making abstract computational thinking concrete and accessible — from students meeting programming for the first time to advanced learners pursuing algorithmic thinking and software engineering. The Think, Code, Create series grew directly from classroom experience: the need for structured, curriculum-aligned materials that respect secondary students as capable thinkers.
